Description

This course aims to teach both wastewater and drinking water operators about different types of pumps and their uses. Starting with the basics of technical terminology and the principles of thermodynamics and fluid theory, this course will cover how pumps work, parts of pumps, different types of pumps and their applications, and pump maintenance and troubleshooting.

Presented by JETCC. Maine JETCC is a program managed by NEIWPCC through a contract with Maine DEP.

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, and MA. TCHs are pending approval in ME.

Links to certificates will be emailed to participants after the course concludes and staff verify attendance through sign in sheets.

A $15 late registration fee will be charged for all registrations received within one week of the class. A confirmation email will be sent to the registration email provided.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION FEE DETAILS: This training may be available to you at half-price due to funding available through the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce. However, you must apply for this funding before the start of the program. Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than seven days prior to course start time. Cancellations received after this time will be charged $50. Registrants who do not cancel and who fail to show up are responsible for full payment.
