Description

This two-day, 4-hour course is intended for those preparing to take the NEWEA Lab Analyst I Certification exam. Participants will receive basic to intermediate instruction on laboratory practices including, but not limited to sampling techniques, preservation, and holding times; chemistry and solutions/dilutions; review of analytical methods and equipment for the most common wastewater parameters; microscopy basics; lab calculations, temperature conversions, and significant figures; quality control/quality assurance; lab safety; and recordkeeping.

This course is sponsored by NEIWPCC in conjunction with the EPA.

Additional Details
Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in NY, CT, and MA. This class is approved for ME WW Operations TCHs.

Participants will be awarded TCHs consistent with the proportion of the session they are in attendance. Participation in polls may be used to verify attendance. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion.

All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes when the class starts.
