Description

This course provides an overview of a typical municipal wastewater treatment facility, providing solid foundational knowledge for both new and existing staff in a facility. Content is generally broken down by treatment type, with a relevant math section to follow. Learning modules include: Introduction to Municipal Wastewater, Hydraulics, Collection Systems, Industrial Pretreatment, Preliminary and Primary Treatment, Introduction to Lab, Secondary Treatment, Process Control, Disinfection, and Solids Handling.

This course is being offered free of charge under NEIWPCC’s Training and Technical Assistance Program, supported by EPA Grant TW84064801. After purchasing, NEIWPCC will send a link to take the online course within 2-3 business days to the address provided with registration. The email to access the course will come from Coassemble, our learning platform. Please check your spam for your link before contacting NEIWPCC for assistance. 

Upon successful completion of the course, twenty Training Contact Hours (20 TCHs) will be awarded. TCHs are approved in ME (NEI-083-OD-20), NH (HQK-MEKZ-C7XT4), NY (Pre-approved), RI, VT, MA, and CT. Successful completion requires all assignments be completed (including the course evaluation) and a score of 70% or greater on the final exam. Please note: In order to progress through the course, students MUST visit all modules and click on all content markers.

STUDENTS WILL HAVE THREE (3) MONTHS FROM PURCHASE TO COMPLETE THE COURSE. After three months, the student must register again.

NEIWPCC will be notified when a student completes the course. A completion certificate will be emailed to the address provided with registration directly from Coassemble.
