Description

This course provides an introduction to solids handling for municipal and industrial wastewater facilities.Topics covered include conditioning, thickening, stabilization, dewatering, volume reduction, disposal and beneficial reuse. Also covered are mechanics of filtration, types of filter media, media design, filtration modes, and membrane materials and configuration. Math calculations are also covered.

This course is sponsored by NEIWPCC in conjunction with MassDEP and MAWEA.

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in NH, RI, NY, VT, CT, and MA. This class is approved for ME WW Operations TCHs.

Participants will be awarded TCHs consistent with the proportion of the session they are in attendance. Participation in polls may be used to verify attendance. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion.

All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes when the class starts.
