Water and wastewater facilities face a convergence of pressures: aging infrastructure, tightening budgets, rising citizen expectations, mandatory regulatory and condition-assessment reporting, and the ever-present risk of disruption from pandemics, natural disasters, cyberattacks, or sudden workforce turnover. Meeting these demands increasingly requires more than good intentions — it requires a digitally enabled, data-driven operating model that connects how a jurisdiction governs, how it manages its physical and utility assets, and how it keeps essential services running no matter what happens.

This immersive session bridges three domains that are too often treated in isolation: e-governance and digital service delivery; public works and utilities asset management; and business continuity, succession planning, and emergency response.

Participants will leave with a practical, integrated framework for starting or strengthening an asset management program, digitizing core governance and citizen-facing functions, and building the continuity and succession plans that ensure “”the show goes on” through pandemics, natural disasters, major disruptions, and the loss of critical staff.

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, and MA. TCHs are pending approval in ME.

Participants will be awarded TCHs consistent with the proportion of the session they are in attendance. Participation in polls may be used to verify attendance. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion.

All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes when the class starts.
