Description

Understanding Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD5) is critical for an effective wastewater treatment process. In this course Phyllis Rand will lead a hands-on, in-lab
discussion focusing on an in-depth examination of the biochemical oxygen demand laboratory test that is required for NPDES compliance.

Approved methods, proper procedures, and techniques used in wastewater laboratory analyses will be discussed. Sampling, laboratory practices, and quality assurance will also be addressed. Following classroom lecture, this course will employ hands-on demonstrations.

Space is limited in this training. In order to train to more people, this course is being held twice.
