| Understanding Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD50 is critical for an effective wastewater treatment process. In this course Phyllis Rand will lead a hands-on, in-lab discussion focusing on an in-depth examination of the biochemical oxygen demand laboratory test that is required for NPDES compliance. Approved methods, proper procedures, and techniques used in wastewater laboratory analyses will be discussed. Sampling, laboratory practices, and quality assurance will also be addressed. Following classroom lecture, this course will employ hands-on demonstrations. Space is limited in this training. In order to train to more people, this course is being held twice. Presented by JETCC. Maine JETCC is a program managed by NEIWPCC through a contract with Maine DEP. Additional Details Links to certificates will be emailed to participants after the course concludes and staff verify attendance through sign in sheets. A $15 late registration fee is in effect. Due to late registration, no physical materials will be available for the class. Attendees who register late may have to add their name to the sign in sheet upon arrival. Any cancellations at this time will be charged $50. Registrants who do not cancel and who fail to show up are responsible for full payment. |
