| This advanced course has been designed for individuals preparing for higher-level certification exams. Attendees should have completed basic wastewater treatment coursework, hold a low-level wastewater license, or have a working knowledge of pumping and hydraulics as a prerequisite for this course.
This class covers operation and maintenance of pumps, and the hydraulic principles behind them. Topics include pump types, parts, packing, and adjustments; reading and using pump curves; motor principles and theory of operation; and associated math calculations. In addition, participants will learn about operational troubleshooting. This course is sponsored by NEIWPCC in conjunction with MassDEP and MAWEA. Additional Details Participants will be awarded TCHs consistent with the proportion of the session they are in attendance. Participation in polls may be used to verify attendance. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion. All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes when the class starts. Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than 24 hours prior to course start time. |
