This advanced course has been designed for individuals preparing for higher-level certification exams. Attendees should have completed basic wastewater treatment coursework, hold a low-level wastewater license, or have a working knowledge of pumping and hydraulics as a prerequisite for this course.
This class covers operation and maintenance of pumps, and the hydraulic principles behind them. Topics include pump types, parts, packing, and adjustments; reading and using pump curves; motor principles and theory of operation; and associated math calculations. In addition, participants will learn about operational troubleshooting.
Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT. TCHs also approved for Drinking Water in ME.
Participants must attend the entire session and participate in polls to receive TCHs. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion.
All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes one hour before class starts.
Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than 24 hours prior to course start time.
