This course is intended for those preparing for state wastewater licensing exams. This course does not offer the NEWEA collection systems certification.
An introductory class designed to provide an understanding of collection systems in a straightforward manner. Topics covered include the purpose of wastewater collection; sewer types and characteristics; system flows; collection system components; and common collection system problems. Also covered are pump station operation and maintenance, pumping and hydraulics, collection system maintenance; and safety.
Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT.
Participants must attend the entire session and participate in polls to receive TCHs. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion.
All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes one hour before class starts.
Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than 24 hours prior to course start time.
