Description

This 6-month, 12-session program is designed to give in-depth training to entry level operators, technicians, and others seeking to increase their understanding of biological wastewater treatment concepts. The program includes demonstrations, treatment plant tours, applied wastewater math, and practice questions to help understand concepts and prepare for certification exams. Instruction will be led by industry professionals drawn from agencies and municipalities. JETCC will supply training materials, including a manual and handouts, designed specifically for this course. Students will be expected to attend all classes and complete short homework assignments between sessions. Wastewater Operator School offers an excellent opportunity for students to increase their understanding of biological wastewater treatment concepts, gain new perspectives, and explore issues faced by treatment facilities.

Presented by JETCC. Maine JETCC is a program managed by NEIWPCC through a contract with Maine DEP.

Registration must be received by December 19, 2025 to ensure enrollment. Registrations received after this time will be charged a $15 late fee. A confirmation email will be sent to the registration email provided for the participant.
