Description

Anyone preparing for a state wastewater treatment operator certification exam will benefit from this structured overview of the wastewater field. The content of the course is based on the well-known Sacramento State University home-study course manuals on wastewater treatment plant operation. During the five-session course, the instructors will review wastewater laws and regulations, the pretreatment process, sedimentation and flotation, secondary biological treatment and processes, disinfections, solids handling, and other pertinent topics.

Participants will receive instruction in the mathematical calculations used in wastewater treatment and likely to be encountered on the Class I and II exams. Students must bring a basic calculator and pen/pencil.

This course is sponsored by NEIWPCC in conjunction with the EPA.

Course Details

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, MA, RI.

Participants MUST attend and be attentive during ALL FIVE SESSIONS to receive full credit. Participants must attend and be attentive during a minimum of 50% of the course to receive any partial credit.

Registration closes seven days before class starts. $15 fee for late registrations.

Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than seven prior to course start date.
