| This three-day, 15-hour course is intended for those preparing to take the NEWEA Lab Analyst I Certification exam. Participants will receive basic to intermediate instruction on laboratory practices including, but not limited to sampling techniques, preservation, and holding times; chemistry and solutions/dilutions; review of analytical methods and equipment for the most common wastewater parameters; microscopy basics; lab calculations, temperature conversions, and significant figures; quality control/quality assurance; lab safety; and recordkeeping. As part of this course, you have the option to sign up to take the exam proctored at the facility on Thursday, February 12th.This course will be held at Richard Alden Training Center, Millbury, MA. The third day of the course is test day if you choose to take it.
Important note: Certification exams are now administered only by NEWEA. Those seeking to take the exam must apply and test directly through NEWEA. They may still take the exam through the standard NEWEA process, online. Course Details Physical materials are available for this class at a price of $5 per day of the course. If you wish to have physical materials available for the course, please select the option for them when adding this course to your cart. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants after the course concludes and staff verify attendance through sign in sheets. A $15 late registration fee will be charged for all registrations received within one week of the class. A confirmation email will be sent to the registration email provided. Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than seven days prior to course start time. Cancellations received after this time will be charged $50. Registrants who do not cancel and who fail to show up are responsible for full payment. |
