Description

This four‐hour introduction will examine the different elements and overlap of both managing a team and leading it. Often used interchangeably, these terms describe different skillsets with different aims, even as they are employed within all levels of an organization. This training can act as a refresher for managers and leaders while also acting as a great introduction for future leaders in the wastewater industry. Topics will include an understanding of formal versus informal leadership, process management, and the importance of understanding individual strengths, values, and preferences, all of which impact communications, planning efforts, and team interaction.

This course is sponsored by NEIWPCC in conjunction with the EPA.

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in TCHs approved in MA. TCHs pending in CT, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT.

Participants must attend the entire session and participate in polls to receive TCHs. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion.

All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes one hour before class starts.

Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than 7 days prior to course start time. $15 fee for late registrations.
