Description

This specialized training program is designed to educate and empower municipal wastewater professionals and facility managers on how to effectively create and enforce wastewater pretreatment programs, with a particular focus on the management of fats, oils, and grease (FOG). These substances represent a major challenge for wastewater systems, as they can cause blockages, equipment failure, and treatment inefficiencies. Participants will learn strategies to prevent these issues through effective program design, stakeholder engagement, and compliance enforcement. We will cover how to navigate regulations at all levels, and how to enforce a program when FOG issues are being contributed to by a user.

This course is sponsored by NEIWPCC in conjunction with the EPA.
