Description

Join us to get ready to be safe during the busy maintenance season in your collection or distribution system. Our hands-on and demonstration-based workshops will focus on fall protection (the most frequent OSHA violation for 2024) and gas meters. Our workshop will begin with a demonstration by 3M using their fall protection truck of the forces that the body is subject to in falls and the importance of proper harnesses and shock-absorbing lanyards. Students will then be able to bring their own harnesses to learn inspection procedures and the correct way to don them. The second half of the workshop will focus on air quality testing using gas meters. Students that have completed the MSA online course for portable gas detectors for either the 4x or 5x meter will demonstrate the preparation, use, bumping, calibration, maintenance and storage for immediate use.

To make the most out of the workshops, students should prepare beforehand. The following resources are recommended to be completed before the workshop and any certificates awarded should be printed and brought to the workshop.

For any questions on preparing for the workshop, contact Jack Berry, jack@jackberryconsulting.com.

To avoid late registration fee, please register no later than May 14, 2025. Registrations received after this time will be charged a $15 late fee. A confirmation email will be sent to the registration email provided.
