Description

Chemistry is a wide-ranging subject that can take many years of study. Kathy Rodgers leads this introductory online class covering basic concepts in chemistry such as how to use the periodic table, the chemistry of water, and how to calculate dosage. These basic skills can assist students in understanding more advanced classes on water treatment chemistry.

Topics include: Fundamentals of Chemistry, Formulas, and Equations & Reactions.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to use the periodic table and understand the element structure. The target audience for this course is drinking water or wastewater operators who have had some basic chemistry instruction in high school or college.

Course Details

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in ME*, CT, and MA and pending approval in NH, RI, NY, VT
*Also approved for drinking water operators in Maine.

Presented by JETCC. Maine JETCC is a program managed by NEIWPCC through a contract with Maine DEP.
All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes when the class starts.
