This training session on wastewater biosolids management and end use delves into the sustainable practices and regulatory frameworks guiding biosolids application. Participants will explore a variety of end-use options including land application and energy recovery, learn fundamental soil science principles critical to understanding biosolids benefits, and discuss the impact of national and state regulations with a focus on emerging concerns like PFAS contamination. The course will also cover market trends of biosolids products, their role in mitigating climate impacts, and specific case studies from New England, providing a regional perspective on best practices and challenges. Throughout the training, attendees will gain insights into the latest trends in biosolids technology and management, equipping them with the knowledge to effectively manage their facility’s solids management practices.

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, MA, ME, NY, RI, VT. TCHs pending in NH.

Participants MUST attend and be attentive during the entire session to receive full credit. Participants must attend and be attentive during a minimum of 50% of the course to receive any partial credit.
