Description

Join us for an intensive two-day training session at Upper Blackstone Clean Water, focusing on the fundamentals and advanced techniques of biological nutrient removal (BNR), specifically nitrogen and phosphorus. This course, led by expert instructors Paul Dombrowski and Allie Greenfield, will delve into the biological processes, operational strategies, real-world plant examples and optimization techniques critical for effective nutrient removal in wastewater treatment systems. Participants will gain hands-on experience with simulators to run various operational scenarios and analyze effluent levels, providing a deeper understanding of process dynamics and control. Participants should have a basic understanding of biological and chemical nutrient removal processes.

This course will take place over two days, earn you 12 TCHs, and include lunch sponsored by MAWEA.

Course Details

Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, VT.

Participants MUST attend and be attentive during the entire session to receive full credit. Participants must attend and be attentive during a minimum of 50% of the course to receive any partial credit.
