This class is an in-depth review of the bacteria and operational conditions that are involved in the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus from the activated sludge process. The course reviews nitrification and denitrification, including their different forms and occurrence, troubleshooting, and operational measures that promote each condition. The course will cover biological phosphorus release and uptake by poly-P bacteria as well as operational conditions to promote biological phosphorus removal.

To avoid late registration fee, please register no later than October 17, 2024. Registrations received after this time will be charged a $15 late fee. A confirmation email will be sent to the registration email provided.
