Description
This advanced course has been designed for individuals preparing for higher-level certification exams or who are looking to further their understanding of municipal wastewater treatment science. Attendees should have completed basic wastewater treatment coursework, hold a low-level wastewater license, or have a basic working knowledge of municipal activated sludge as a prerequisite for this course.
Topics covered include activated sludge modes and process goals. Math calculations for municipal wastewater treatment and an introduction to nitrification and denitrification processes are also covered.
This course is sponsored by NEIWPCC in conjunction with MassDEP and MAWEA.
Course Details
Wastewater Training Contact Hours (TCHs) are approved in CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT.
Participants must attend the entire session and participate in polls to receive TCHs. Links to certificates will be emailed to participants upon course completion.
All participants must be registered to view the course. Registration closes one hour before class starts.
Cancellations must be received at Training@NEIWPCC.org no less than 24 hours prior to course start time.
